Great app! Similar to maps.me but quicker and less cluttered. A couple of suggestions: Would be great to have shadowed mountains/hills level for a better understanding of slopes when using it for hiking. A very useful function would be to save routes. In this way I can prepare them at home and then reuse them while hiking. Finally would be great to find a way to keep the elevation graph not just when previewing a route, but also when following it EDIT thanks for the answer! Yes i can import GPX but if i compute a route using OrganicMaps then i cannot save or reopen it, it would b very useful

Thanks! Hill shading looks like a useful feature for hikers, it may increase maps data though. You also can now import KML routes into OM (open KML/KMZ file with OM) from, for example, Google My Maps or some other sources. Showing graph during the route is also in our roadmap. Thanks!

Great app, I want to make it my go to map app but the search is a disaster. I searched for Nice, France. Random results are shown. In all other map apps, the city of Nice is the first result. I then searched an address in the US after I had browsed Nice, France and it could not find it. When it finds what I'm looking for, results are not sorted by distance like all other map apps . Sadly these flaws prevent me from dropping Magic Earth. Hope they'll fix the search soon

Could you please write us on android@organicmaps.app with more details? I searched for "Nice France" and got the needed city in the first place always (from the US).

It is an effective and simple application which works without crashes. Probably one of the best in its kind. The problem is that it has no voice instructions when I use it in my car with Bluetooth on. Without it the sound is not loud enough. Update. No change after moving to S23. Plus one more.I used only the pedestrian profile. When there is a curve it says e.g. Turn right. But if there is another road there I turn to the wrong direction. Here, a Bear right or a Slightly right could fix it.

We’ll check the Bluetooth issue, what is your car device model? Please send us a route example at android@organicmaps.app so we can test and fix wrong directions. Or better create a detailed issue on our GitHub.
