Used it for quite a long time on the previous phone it was great. Now installed on a new better one (Samsung galaxy j5-6) and it can't download maps. Writes "retry" all the time. Tried to uninstall and install again - doesn't help. Pity.
This is a good app which works when you are offline: great for avoiding roaming charges. However, recent updates have made downloading the maps extremely tedious. Auto update no longer works and several attempts are needed to download manually. Another star removed until this problem is fixed. The maps require a lot of storage, but it means the app keeps working when you don't have network access. The detail in the maps is sometimes even better than Google maps, at least in the UK. The app includes basic navigation, but I find it underestimates journey time, the route isn't always the best, and the terse, barked instructions can be unhelpful.
First; can't get zoom for more then 20 meteres, second thing,-which's very important to me- can u add speed limitations notification when available.and how to stop the popup which ask me every time to activate the GPS.and thanx
The app is very useful. But make it accurate in pionting where my specific location is. Sometimes it shows my location a bit of and wrong. I'll give it a 5 star if you could fix it.
The title says it all. I put this in my tablet in my Bug Out Bag. A must have app for all survivalist. Let the zombies attack, I got a map, they don't.
Maps.me is the best maps & nav app ever. It works perfectly fine offline, maps take very little MBs and it doesn't use much battery either. It has helped me find my way even in the most remote areas in the world (the Himalaya). Highly recommended. Great job guys
