About this app

Element Classic is the previous-generation of Element mobile app. Friends, family and communities should use the free and open source Element X app which is faster, easier to use, and more powerful. New users of public sector organisations, enterprises and professional teams users should use the Element Pro app that is built for work and organisations. Element Classic is available at least until the end of 2025 and will receive critical security updates but no further enhancements or new features.

Kind of strange that you can't validate your first device without first selecting "can't confirm" and going through that process. Works as needed afterwards. Hopefully this gets improved in the near future as many users including myself are looking for Discord alternatives.

Frustrating experience. I just want an option so I can move away from failed Discord, but this seems to take preposterous into another level. I can't seem to verify on any device, and the reset keys option doesn't even work. The instructions are a joke and extremely difficult to understand, because options that they want you to do arent even there. What a failed miserable experience. I will continue looking for a substitute, because this isn't it.

I'm still new to the app but when trying to change the icon for the room, the UI is ill-fitting on my Android phone
