Ratings and reviews

After two years using them, they have worsen the free tier service. First they got rid of the option to add images to the expenses using the app, then they added a daily limit to the expenses you add daily, and now I need to wait 10 seconds to add an expense. This kind of practice is awful, and instead of considering the premium tier I'd rather move to another app.

This app has successfully done its thing for me for years, but today it sent me a vague push notification telling me I was "almost" done with something. When I clicked through, it turned out to be an advertisement trying to get me to set up their additional services for me to pay my bills through their platform. This is a scumbag move that reduced my trust in the app and the platform. If I get another notification like this, I'm going back to sharing expenses among friends by hand.

Splitwise used to be good. But now they are pushing too hard for the subscription thing that I don't need. Now I'm being blocked from using the free parts of the software unless I accept to try the pro version - cancel anytime, "riiiight". I don't trust they would actually allow me to cancel, given how the app got enshitified over time. I don't want to trial anything - instead I'll trial the uninstall button.
