About this app

Look to Speak is an Android app from Google which enables you to use your eyes to select a menu of phrases and pictures and have them spoken aloud. The app uses the front-facing camera to detect eye gaze gestures, processing the feed in real time using machine learning. When a significant gesture is detected, the app will trigger your intended action. All data is private and never leaves the device.

For me it is not working at all either on Android phone or tablet. On my phone it says "not able to detect eyes" while on tab only the snooze part is working. It's a nice idea for disabled people but seems like a lot of work needs to be done on this app. Please give option to users to debug the eye tracking. Also, please allow app to work in landscape mode (allow app rotation) as some tabs have camera installed in landscape mode.

I have ALS a trach and am completely paralyzed. I use a Tobii pceye with their tdcontrol software. occasionally it will freeze, requiring a restart . This is a big problem and could have me trapped unable to get help for hours. I have mounted a phone above the pc using your app. Using some programed automations thru Google home I am able to broadcast to the house for help.Could you add is the option to look down instead of up for times when the phone is mounted high. Thanks

Clean, simple and easy to use. Potentially a very powerful tool for many users, which already serves its purpose well. Eye tracking is accurate, only had a few errors come up, and they did not repeat. Head tracking with/as an alternative to eye tracking could definitely have a place, as while the app itself is quite accurate, slight variance in users operating the app and whether the user has a device stand, may impact the overall effectiveness for some.

What's new

The new text-free mode allows you to select a choice of emojis, symbols and photos to be spoken aloud - with no reading required. The update also includes the ability to store multiple phrasebooks and added support for Swahili.
