Relate Date is the new Swedish dating alternative created for us who are tired of the superficial swiping and want a better and more meaningful way to connect with other singles looking for a long-term relationship.

THE WAY IT WORKS

1. Identify and define your values

A healthy relationship starts with yourself - with an understanding of what you need to feel good, what’s important to you and what kind of life you want to live.

Through the science-based tool ValuesTree™ you will get help to pick and express your personal values. What is actually important to you? Your health, to grow, inspiration, integrity, intimacy, humor, creativity or maybe to be curious? We help you put words on your most important values, which can also be seen as your vision and compass in life.

2. Ten carefully selected profiles each day

Based on your preferences and values we will send out 10 new selected profiles everyday, to avoid you having to sit and swipe for yourself. If you find someone you like, you press “relate”. When the interest is mutual, a match occurs and a chat will appear.

3. Skip the small talk - real conversations with real people

Ask about or comment on each other's values or photos to get a strong connection right away. Discover how conversations around values not only help you evaluate your compatibility but also help you grow as a person by giving you new perspectives on what’s important in life and how you want to live.

WHY DOES IT WORK?

Meeting someone with whom you share many core values basically means you have a similar view on how you want to live your life. It can get difficult in the long run if you are too different to each other. If for example one of you always seeks adventure and want to explore new things, while the other person rather wants to feel safe, relax and take it easy.

Conversations around values increase empathy and understanding for each other, which leads to stronger emotional intimacy and contact. The conversations also help you both clarify and anchor what is important in your life.

Ratings and reviews

I like unusual and this is it! (For example it's impossible to pay for premium 🤔) It is clear it is still in early development so it has a lot of evolution to go trough before it's real user friendly. That said I think "It's the best dating app on the market" so it has A LOT of potential! If I would add one feature it would be to have a top 1-3 options of most important values in a partner. That way you don't waste daily pics on gross mismatches. Ex. Not having "spiritual" is my dealbraker

I really like that you can add stories and photos to my values and profile, I rather have that than some mindless selfies. It's also nice to only have a couple profiles (picked just for me) per day rather than the addictive user behavior on other apps. Though there are still some bugs I'd love if you removed.

Too many bugs 🤦🏼‍♂️ not enough difference from other (bigger) dating apps... no point. And I don't know if it's because of my bad review or if it's another bug: I got a notification and tried to see it, but apparently I've been logged out and can't log back in (with my number) because it only says "Ojdå, något gick fel!" 😅
