About this app

This is a client app for the self-hostable Immich Server (which can be found with the app's source repo). You will need to run/manage the server on your own in order to use the app.

Once set up, this app can be used as photo and video backup solution directly from your mobile phone.

I've been moving away from Google and other commercial SaaS apps for years. Many self-hosted apps aren't quite feature-rich or great in terms of user experience, and I've come to accept that as a trade-off. With Immich not only I get virtually unlimited storage, better control and security, but also I think it's even better than Google Photos in so many ways.

better than google drive or google photos. I wish I could make the app do an"upload limit" because when I try to upload an entire folder with many files in it, it crashes. Like if it could only upload 2 at a time (or a number that I can set) then that would be perfect.

Great for huge self hosted collections. 52,000 photos and 3,200 videos @ ~600 GB. Works perfectly. AI searching and facial recognition working well. Photo sharing works well too. I use with wireguard vpn on our phones and CloudFlare Tunnel for sharing photos. I hope you add dynamic albums in the near future. Thank you so much for making this great app!
