About this game

A Dance of Fire and Ice is a simple one-button rhythm game. Keep your focus as you guide two orbiting planets down a path without breaking their perfect equilibrium.

It's pretty hard to describe, but you should play the free online version on a desktop computer first if you are not sure you would enjoy this game!

Features:

- 20 worlds, each introducing new shapes and rhythms. What do triangles, octagons or squares sound like? Each world has its own unique hand-drawn fantasy landscape, and has short tutorial levels followed by a full-length boss level.

- Post-game challenges: Speed Trials for each world and blisteringly fast bonus levels for the brave.

- Play new levels for free: more levels will be added over the coming months.

- Calibration options: Auto-calibration and manual calibration. This is a precise rhythm game, so please use your ears more than your eyes when playing.

WARNING: This is a hard rhythm game. Not in the sense of note-spamming - for the most part you just need to keep a consistent beat - but keeping a beat is not very easy. So don't worry if you find it difficult!

This game is one of the best rhythm games I have ever played. The music is fun and the level graphics are amazing and still well optimized. The concept is an amazing idea and was executed excellently. The balancing on the levels is decent, and the levels are lots of fun to play and unique in their own way. This is a rhythm game for beginners, but not a beginner's rhythm game. Looking forward to the addition of the level editor on the mobile version!

This is an excellent, mega fun, "quite challenging" game after the first few mercy worlds, to say the least! i like it lot. I find myself twisting into weird contortions desperately attempting to make up for hitting the screen late or early by pounding it to near breakage levels. this doesn't work though must be a bug! hahahaha just kidding.

Updated! The Good: As a rhythm game, the concept is neat, the execution is very good, and the soundtrack is beautiful. The visualization of percussion and beats was refreshing. The Bad: The calibration is still a little iffy, in my experience. The Ugly: Nothing, really. Previously, this paid app was the same as its free browser counterpart, but with updates to graphics and several additional worlds, it's well worth the $3 I spent for it years ago. It's been a joy revisiting this masterpiece!

Hey Michael, sorry about this! It should have costed a dollar instead of three. I swear you will actually get new levels one day (exclusive to this paid version) Edit: Hey Michael, we've finally updated it and tripled the amount of content, with completely remastered graphics. Hope you can try it again!
