About this game

Gris is a hopeful young girl lost in her own world, dealing with a painful experience in her life. Her journey through sorrow is manifested in her dress, which grants new abilities to better navigate her faded reality. As the story unfolds, Gris will grow emotionally and see her world in a different way, revealing new paths to explore using her new abilities.

GRIS is a serene and evocative experience, free of danger, frustration or death. Players will explore a meticulously designed world brought to life with delicate art, detailed animation, and an elegant original score. Through the game light puzzles, platforming sequences, and optional skill-based challenges will reveal themselves as more of Gris’s world becomes accessible.

GRIS is an experience with almost no text, only simple control reminders illustrated through universal icons. The game can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of their spoken language.

This is not a game, this Art!!!! To state that this game is a Gem would be an understatement!! Breathtaking graphics, majestic soundrack, flawless controls, refined aesthetic, its story arc is up for your interpretation. This game does not belong to this game development era, its a memento of an earlier time when microtransactions didn't exist and when game development was an art form, and even compared to products of that bygone age, it would be one of the finest pieces of the craft.

The controls are floaty and a bit imprecise. The level design often leaves you wondering why certain surfaces can't be reached and why some things are walls and others are just decorations. Often the bonus sections are nebulous and pass you by permanently without warning. It runs poorly more often than I'd like. But it's literally the most beautiful game I've ever played. It's like navigating a living painting. The music is perfect and matches the world flawlessly. Despite issues, still 5 stars

As much as I–want–to enjoy this game, it is not designed or optimized for mobile phones, so go into it with that in mind. The art direction is beautiful and the music really is great, even if the whole "this game is art" is kinda in your face. I find myself wanting to relax and enjoy the game and environments, but having to plan my simple platforming a full second or so before I do it can be frustrating, especially when the margin for error in some sections is small, and frankly- frustrating.
