i think most rhythm games that aren't open source tend to have this kind of insanely overloaded gamification so i won't judge it too harshly for that. Ads come up after every replay when they should be coming up after every 4 replays. the reward systems are very stupid and i need an option to ignore them entirely. It's a good port of taiko otherwise and the maps are designed nicely for mobile users.

For a free mobile game, this game is really generous with its rewards. The ads are non-intrusive and every songs available have the chance to be played without tickets (and even those tickets can be gained really quickly). Even with its relatively limited amount of songs atm it's a very great experience. Absolutely recommended! My only nitpick is that some songs don't have the artist/band's name listed, mostly on pop songs. Hope it will be fixed in the next update.

While I do miss the drumsticks and big drum of the arcade version, Taiko no tatsujin: Rythm Connect is a good entry into the series, which is perfectly playable. Ues it has ads and does use a currency to play all the songs, but it's easy to get. There are no ads during the game itself. playing in portrait gives less screen space for nots in exchange for a very playable drum pad. Despite it's flaws, i recommend this game to everyone who likes Taiko no Tatsujin.
