Very solid idea on base building/space combat. There is a lot to do in way of pvp fleet and base combat, that it draws you away from having to watch timers in order to do things. Excellent statistical real time fleet combat allows for a more hands on experience. Very good graphics added to a master of orion type musical score grabs your attention and envelopes you in the empire building feel. Great game that is not pay to win, but delivers well enough to pay to support! *UPDATE* GAME HAS BECOME PAY TO WIN. This game used to be great, had solid loyal base until company decided to make the players into their very own ATMs. There is no longer any way for the casuals to play end game anymore. No reason to play unless you are willing to plug in a CC # now. Another great game ruined by greed. Won't even play on steam anymore because of the horrible change in vision of the games current path.

PAY-TO-WIN. Sad because it's a really fun 2D space war game. KIXEYE, we get you're poor and need to make money but you CAN NOT incentivize EVERYTHING in VEGA with spending money. I.e building/refitting ships, upgrading/refitting modules, repairs, crafting, buying MK up pattern boxes, literally everything and anything that would help you progress in the game can be bought with coins. Giving players with money to blow an advantage over the casual/new players and the ones who don't spend as much.

Long time player, started in the middle of VSec (Tier 4.5) being released, circa 2014 Used to an excellent game. Technically impressive for the time. Good tech was rewarded, but good skill even more. Over the years the monetization has been more and more aggressive. Power creep has accelerated massively, and the monetization really exploits that. Now basically good tech (and ship balance within a tier) is the only factor. Only reason I am still playing is the core battle engine is still solid.
