Although I wish there was an element of immersion and a speaking guage to compare my pronunciation with the speaker recording but I know this is just a start. I like the fact that it doesn't seem to use AI and I haven't yet seen any alternative Western or political agendas being pushed on the app. It's just lists of vocabulary in Kiswahili in a way that a person would speak it.

I appreciate that the app provides free access to basic vocabulary and phrases with audio clips of pronunciation. It lacks a system to help you actually memorize the content. There are no drills or games to present vocabulary in small sets with repetition. There is also no maintenance program to help you review the terms you learn. These things are essential for learning. I am a former teacher and Vice Principal.

I really LOVE this app. I wanted to learn just a little Swahili to use on a Safari (photo) trip to Tanzania and Kenya. I am so thankful I did. Greeting people in THEIR language let's them know happy you are to be in their Country. Best thing I've ever done. Languages are not so easy to learn as...well...some of us are not in our 20's anymore. I highly recommend this app!!
