⏩ What's the purpose of this app?

It's not exactly controversial that YOU NEED A ROUTINE. But it's hard to stick to your schedule when the endless entertainment of the internet is available at your fingertips. Lock my Phone kills that lure so you can concentrate on what's actually important.

While your device is locked you can still access the apps on your lockscreen, take phone calls and call emergency numbers (911 etc.) and emergency contacts (see below). If you unlock it during a lock period it will be locked again right away.

⏩ Three Main Features:

1. Recurring lock periods, for example to lock your phone every evening during the week after 10 pm.

2. One time lock periods for when you just want to concentrate for 45 minutes while studying.

3. Geocheck-Feature: Only lock your device if you are in a certain area. Helpful so your phone isn't locked while you're out with friends.

⏩ What's the difference between the free and the premium version?

You can only have one lock period in total on the free version, so you can either have 1 one time lock or 1 recurring lock period. You can have unlimited lock periods (of each type) in the premium version.

There are no ads in either version.

Ratings and reviews

Does what it says. Fully locks your phone without a "15 more min" option. When you try to unlock it the screen goes black again and it's a repeated cycle of that. It's been very helpful. The uninstall process is weird though. A great idea would be to allow the option to lock individual apps with the same manner. That way a person that uses there phone to work but has trouble staying off a certain app or something, they can lock that app and continue to use their phone in other aspects.

Granted I've only been using this for a day but this app is great- super simple it does exactly what I want it to do- block me out of my phone for a set period of time. That's it, no fancy screen time analytics or whatever. It just simply helps you to he more productive. 2 small suggestions- make it an option to have a noise when the time is up and also have an option to add the me from the lock screen in case you want to remain locked out longer than you originally chose.

I really love this app but there's one major problem that will probably prevent me from keeping it, it doesn't give you the ability to call an emergency contact or call 911. I wish this could lock me out of absolutely every single app, including texting, except the phone feature. The phone feature is important at times and it's not what people waste their time on. People waste their time on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit etc.

• 🆕 You can now start or stop locks by sending the following broadcast to the Lock My Phone app (for example via Automate or Tasker):

"START 5" (to start the lock with ID 5)
"STOP 5" (to stop it)
