"In an instant, there was nothing. Only the comforting darkness of the nothingness, the sea without waves, without pain and taste of unconsciousness. In the next instant, there was the dungeon. It was like waking inside a nightmare – not knowing how I have got here, not even who I am. Cold, hungry and thirsty, unable to see what happens more than six foot beyond these narrow halls where slime and evil drips through the walls. I heard the scratch of little claws greed to test the resistance of my flesh. In the shadows, I sensed wicked eyes stalking me, cruel, starving. My first wish was to return to the nothingness, but that was no longer a choice. So, I searched the sword that, somehow, I knew it was there, sheathed to the waist. I lit my torch. And went to the adventure."

An old school RPG with all the elements we like to see in this type of game: level up, increase attributes, learn new skills, acquire and equip magic items, hundreds of monsters with different characteristics to be faced in turn-based combat, character customization , powerful spells and more.

Love this game and I keep coming back to my playthrough every few days, usually either to find a build that can take on the final boss or to recover from a failed attempt at that 🤣. Many of the rare monsters are a serious challenge that require research and preparation. With some effort and planning, I managed to take the permanent #1 spot in one of the game's leaderboards a few months ago, and I'm STILL coming back for more!

Text-based roguelike/roguelite dungeon crawl with a few base classes that only affect your starting loadout. (I highly suggest a ranger-explorer start, just keep an eye on your tools since they doubles as ammo.) There's a narrative in there somewhere and a New Game+ that I haven't done anything with yet. I paid for ad-free gem drops and "keep most of your progress on death" mode, but it's entirely optional.

Thought I was going to like this game a lot, it has a good base, but the progression is so slow and awkward that it ends up just being really repetitive. And proceeding to new levels is completely random, there's no skill check, it's not a set amount of time or actions, so the built in time limit to complete the game is dumb, I'm moving to the next level every time it's avaliable, yet my days still past faster. Thinking I could lose simply bc I run out of days makes me want to quit now.
