PEÑÍSCOLA TOURISM
Enjoy Peñíscola Turismo !, a new way to get to know the city and its routes, with an agenda of events and fun games with which you will learn.
Peñíscola, also known as Ciudad en el Mar, has been the crossroads of all the Mediterranean civilizations that have been sailing through this sea of prosperity and culture since the dawn of history. Phoenicians and Greeks were followed by Carthaginians, Romans, Byzantines and Arabs ... all knew of its advantageous situation, its security as an irreducible strength and its suitability as a habitat, both for its climate and for having abundant fresh water flowing from the entrails of the rock in the citadel itself.
In time already of the Christians, the mythical and enigmatic Knights Templar settled in the tómbolo, where already an Arab strength existed and they did not take in persuading themselves of the exceptional characteristics that reunited to be turned into impregnable fortress.
Peñíscola, with its unique natural and architectural heritage, is also an exceptional city for all types of audiovisual activities. When you download the application you can choose between Roque (a young Templar) and Mar (an intrepid pirate) to accompany you on your adventure through Peñíscola.
As you play, you will complete different stories related to the 3 routes
of Peñíscola: Pirate Route, Adventure Route and Cinema Route.
THE PEÑÍSCOLA TOURISM APP
In this application you will find three types of functionalities: a map with points of interest, an agenda of events and a game.
2D Map: where the Points of Interest (POIs) of the film, adventure and pirate routes are located, as well as another series of information resources that complement the visit.
Cinema Route: Artillery Park, Plaza de Armas, Faro, Plaza de Santa María, Puerto, Sierra de Irta, South Beach and North Beach
Adventure Route: Ermitana, Castle, Santa María Church, Rampa Felipe II - Fosc Portal, Santa María Door or the Casares, Gardens - Papa Luna Scales, Antigues Escoles, Ayuntamiento and Portal de desafiament.
Pirate Route: Portal Sant Pere, La font de Sant Pere, Bufador-Fortin del Bonet, La porteta, Museum of the sea, Santa Ana water spring, Paseo de Ronda - Water tower, Polvorín - House of Les Petxines and Les Fontetes.
Other Points of Interest: Tourist offices, playgrounds, playgrounds and health centers.
Agenda of events: where you can find out what happens in Peñíscola throughout the year, in addition, you can know the closest ones on the map thanks to geolocation.
Game: through a game in 3 dimensions (3D), the visit to the city will become very entertaining, where you will have to face challenges with augmented reality, answer questions, make selfies, all of it walking and enjoying Peñíscola with the help of this augmented guide.
