I downloaded this app in order to try to figure out my ipd so I can tune my VR headset. The process wasn't exactly difficult but it did work in about 3 minutes after getting the lighting right and holding my phone at the right distance. Giving it 3 stars, because after duplicating the test 4x I got four different scores, so I'm more or less waiting to see what my eye doctor says. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

I just got this for the PD measurement since it wasn't on my prescription and I needed to order glasses. I did the whole thing just for fun and was super skeptical that it would actually be able to measure my prescription itself. It was almost perfect. I have a very mild astigmatism in my left eye, and it was just off on the axis by 2. Everything else was an exact match. If you have an astigmatism, maybe run the measurement a couple times to be safe but overall it's surprisingly accurate.

This app forcefully sets your volume when it starts, even if you don't ask for voice instructions. It stays down when you turn it back down, but regardless, this is completely unacceptable for an app intended for home use. Volume level is a user's decision, and thus should not be overridden without the user's consent. The IPD measurement is accurate and the measurement process is fairly simple, but forcefully overriding my device's volume is enough on it's own to earn a 1-star review.
