Latch is without a doubt the worst keyless entry system I've ever used. It's incredibly slow to open doors and regularly just fails to work completely. Using the backup door code to enter is also incredibly frustrating because the Latch door locks were clearly designed for form over function. It looks slick but a normal keypad with a sensible layout would be so much easier to use. I don't understand why any apartment complex would choose to implement this system, terrible all around.

Horrible, I've lived in 2 apartments that have moved to the Latch app and I absolutely hate it. The "Hold near to unlock" feature never works, and even if it did a regular fob would be much easier anyway. I'm using the Android version and there does not seem to be an update option in the app and the version is not listed on Google Play so I'm not even sure if I'm on the most current version.

It works, but it doesn't work well. my phone died, and i got caught in the rain outside my apartment building. i had to wait 1.5 hours for my roommate to come back in order to get inside. having a phone needing bluetooth, NFC, and wifi instead of a regular key and lock is a faulty system with plenty of things that can and will go wrong. it logs me out and sometimes flat out refuses to open a door. i dont have access to the gym or the stairwell and nobody can fix it. avoid this system if you can.
