This is a quick utility to test/check your proximity sensor.

Test if your proximity sensor is broken, or if you have a proximity sensor. For example, you could use it to test if your screen protector is blocking your proximity sensor.

There are 2 types of tests:
Basic test: Test the basic functionality of the proximity sensor. Is it working or not?
Distance test: Get the exact distance value your proximity sensor senses. Please note that only a small amount of smartphones are able to do this! Most phones will only display a fixed distance value.

There is also a sensor info page that will display all information available about your proximity sensor.

Summarized, this is the most advanced proximity sensor test app. It has a small size, is quick to use and has a modern design without annoying ads.

A good app to test proximity sensor functionality in phones. My phone doesn't have a proximity sensor turn off option and I observed that my phone has the detection problem. So I tested this app on my phone. I confirmed the issue.

works perfectly! I needed this because whenever I made a call the the phone app, the proximity sensor would just stop detecting my face next to my phone and would just turn on my screen in the middle of a call which ended up in a few accidental hangups. found out that it has to do with the phone app as the proximity sensor works just fine so it's not a hardware issue thank God, and thank God for this app.

Having trouble with my new Pixel 9 Pro proximity sensor and wasn't sure if it was working. This app was able to show me that I did in fact have a proximity sensor, where it is located, and that it seems to work, plus some additional information on the sensor itself. This app came in very handy for me.
