With the increase in the number of accidents and sudden illness increases the need for first aid. Due to various reasons, people first aid in an accident often does not provide, resulting in major health complications injured or diseased persons. The results of several studies suggest that the problem is mainly linked to the lack of knowledge of proper first aid. On the other hand, the appropriate first aid been shown to reduce the number and duration of hospitalizations, contributes to a more effective treatment, improved recovery, better quality of life after injury or disease of, and thus long-term positive impact on the health fund, reducing the environmental burden and increasing the general welfare of the population.
Mobile application First aid covers two aligned set of educational and information content:
• Support for effective first aid in case of injuries and sudden illnesses most common.
• Increasing the level of knowledge of first aid among the general population (acquiring doctrinal appropriate instructions for first aid, assessment of knowledge, restoring / consolidating knowledge, promote learning first aid, reduction of prejudice against the provision of first aid, promote solidarity and awareness of the importance of helping fellow human beings in distress).
Professional content applications based on the guidelines of the European Reference Center for First Aid and professional center for first aid Red Cross Slovenia. It is a text, image and video display basic contents and instructions for first aid, intended for both the general public as well as various groups and organizations (schools, labor organizations, clubs, teams, first aid ...).
As part of the application development professional content we have developed together with the Slovenian Red Cross, University Medical Center (UMC) Ljubljana, University of Ljubljana - Faculty of Health and the University of Maribor - Faculty of Organizational Sciences - Laboratory of ergonomics.
