Thanks to ginto you can quickly find the information you need in order to decide for yourself if a particular location is accessible for you or not. What’s more, you can help improve the ginto database by easily creating and editing entries.
WHO FINDS GINTO HELPFUL?
Whether it's those with a disability, parents with strollers or even senior citizens, anyone who relies on specialized accessibility information can benefit from ginto. At the moment we're mainly collecting accessibility information in the area of mobility. However, ginto can be easily expanded to include other criteria. Let us know if there's other information you need!
DECIDE FOR YOURSELF WHAT IS ACCESSIBLE
Other platforms offer accessibility information that can be very subjective, such as mentioning only if something is wheelchair-accessible. But what does that mean and what is that decision based on? Our individual needs are quite different and are rarely covered by a simple yes or no answer.
At ginto we’re turning the tables: we're generating objective, descriptive information that you can use to decide if your accessibility needs are being met.
PERSONAL NEEDS PROFILE
Accessibility needs depend on the person and situation. ginto allows you to save your individual accessibility needs in a personal profile. Afterwards, using a simple stoplight system, ginto shows you the exact information you need. You can choose to have a closer look at the details any time you’d like.
COVERING GROUND
Often, the accessibility of a location isn’t clear. For example, sometimes the inside of a restaurant is only accessible using stairs, while there may be a garden terrace that offers barrier-free entry.
Instead of seeing the whole restaurant as inaccessible simply because part of it is, ginto allows you to evaluate the area based on different accessibility points.
EVERYONE CAN JOIN IN
With the ginto app, not only can you search for places with accessibility, but also expand and edit existing entries. It’s also very easy to add a new entry and in doing so, help us create a database that's as complete as can be.
