The Smartdrive option is a great initiative and I've received a discount for driving well, which I'm very excited about. The only thing to remember is that this is not accurate. I absolutely never use my phone, but when someone else like my sister uses my phone for music, it logs it as me using my phone while I drive. The same thing for when being a passenger in someone else's car - the app tells me it's monitoring but it is not my car or my driving. I don't want to turn it off every time.

2. Select on Menu and then Settings.
3. Enable Passenger prompt.

Hi Outsurance, just an update to my older review from August. Smart Drive is still not working for me; I noticed that it either doesn't record trip at all or it kind of works (occasionally) when I use Google Maps. So when is the fix coming for newer devices that run Android 8 and above? ***Original review***Smart drive is still not working and it was more than a year I first tried it. Wow. I have a brand new phone but it doesn't seem that makes any difference. Location and data are on, also I made certain that there's nothing restricting app from running in the background but app is either not recording telemetry or starting the recording after my trip has ended. Very disappointing Outsurance.

The app keeps logging out. When I log back in, it repeatedly asks if I'd like to use my fingerprint scanner to log in next time, yet this feature has never appeared, whether I agreed or disagreed to use it. And the Smartdrive feature is a complete joke. It hasn't measured anything at all (and yes, I agreed to all the app requests/permissions). Discount my foot!
