Worst app on my phone and it's not even close. Takes what could have been an email and runs it through ten different levels of sub categories. Every teacher uses it differently because it's so unintuitive and overcomplicated. I'm sure the school board is only using it because they already paid for it, so they need to save face. I've never written a review of an app before. I hate this app with a burning and unending passion so needed to say something. Negative five stars.

Schools and districts choose Edsby because it does a lot of things: https://edsby.com/comparisons/ - you might be seeing a small fraction of what Edsby is doing behind the scenes. If teachers are using it inconsistently, perhaps ask your principal if there are plans to address this?

Inconsistent App. Notifications were finally working and now they have quit working again this school year. I have clear data, cache and reset notifications and they are permanently blocked. Login on a computer, it is a great experience, this app is the polar opposite of that. Cannot find information. Click on a heading to get more information, end up going to a useless bio which in most cases is empty. I hope school divisions are not paying for this.

You appear to be using the Android Edsby app v 2.2.4.2. Google recently made a change and Android apps now need to independently request notification permission now if they've been installed recently, and not grandfathered by an old system. We'll work around in an app update soon. Only affects some Android users. Doesn't affect web browser logins.

I have nothing good to say about Edsby. It doesn't have usable features. You either get 72 notifications per day...or you get none. You can't compose messages to the teaching staff, but you sure can receive them. There are som any things I could share, but I have neither the time nor the inclination. Overall it is a terrible app and it is SO too bad that the school district decided to use it for our schools.

A handful of Edsby sites have chosen to disable parents' ability to message teachers from Edsby as a matter of policy. If you disagree with their decision, consider telling them this. It's not a limitation of Edsby.

Fixes notification permission request on newer Android OS
To ensure notifications are configured, after the Edsby app has been downloaded and installed, users should check the following:
1. Open Android Settings
2. Open Apps
3. Open App Management > Edsby
4. Under App Permissions > Edsby, check to see if Notifications are allowed
5. Make sure Notifications are Enabled
