Getting this app to work with an Android phone and the TicWatch (the only wearable you can use i)s tedious at best and usually impossible. Moreover, it is not compatible with Android 10. Somehow, I was able to use the SmartDrive MX2+ app on the TicWatch without a phone in the loop for three months and everything was fine until one day the SmartDrive wouldn't turn off and it crashed me into heavy furniture causing damage to me, my chair, and the furniture. Now it won't operate without a phone and to make everything really worse, this app is not compatible with Android 10 which my phone has. So, many thousands of dollars have gone out the window for a product that is severely flawed, let alone dangerous. The reps at the mfr. are great and eager to help, but they are saddled with a lemon. The recent update helped in some ways, but it can't get around the terrible hardware. In fact, often the watch is useless as it will not accept command touches, simply won't, even after resetting many times. This particular watch is defective for sure, but the entire interface was not really put through any educated or experienced usability testing or it wouldn't look and act the way it does. Making things really the pits is the most abysmal battery life of any electronic anything I have used since the days of transistor radios and pocket calculators. Less than two (that's *2*) hours is not unusual, despite all the power-saving things one can do, as well as factory tips. The TicWatch is abysmally awful. It will not accept commands almost every time, then when it does it is not the command you were trying to reach. It is a total embarrassment to whomever invented the SmartDrive. Deserves a negative 25.

DANGEROUS!!! I have the new TicWatch controller. Half the time it does not respond to a single-tap to set the speed or double-tap to stop. Seriously, this thing is going to get me hurt! Don't know why Permobil decided to get cute by putting this in a cheap smart watch when the old band worked fine (except the PushTracker software has NEVER worked), but they change to this garbage that you can't even install on a different wearable. As for the watch itself, it lacks the processing speed to keep up with rapid inputs from the user. When I give it 2 taps to stop pushing, I need it to stop NOW, not after a 1-3 second lag while the watch tries to figure out whats happening. Permobil, please stop trying to be clever with this, it isn't working. Just make something that works reliably.

The app is okay, the biggest issue is the terrible smartwatch they selected as their initial launch platform. I understand wanting a device with an accessible pricepoint, but the watch cannot handle this app. The result is lag in response, battery drain, and tap gestures that are either missed entirely or read when you're not actually tapping. Additionally, the "reduction" button in the individual setting options is always below the sensor region to drag up the notification panel, resulting in an inability to do things like lower maximum speed at times. Side note, not sure if it's the software as it seems the fault of the terrible watch, but setting the tap sensitivity to the lowest option does not prevent false taps from the bumps in sidewalks or rolling down the street.

Hi John, thanks for the feedback. We are sorry that you have not had a great experience with the SmartDrive MX2+ app. We have been hard at work since the launch on an update - coming soon - that should address your concerns. We hope that it does improve your experience and that you reconsider the rating once we fix those issues.
