About this app

RangeMaster Sports Timer is ideal for timing horse, track and athletic events. The app interfaces to one of these wireless electric-eye gates (sold separately):

RM-110, RM-501 and the RM-510

Use RM-110 for timing events that need only one gate such as horse barrel racing, cowboy mounted shooting and other agility events that start and finish at the same line.

Use RM-501 for timing events with separate start and end gates such as equestrian show jumping, horse racing, car racing, athletic running, football 5-10-5 drills, etc.

The RM-510 allows multiple gates and extends the range between gates up to 1,000 feet to time just about any sporting event, test and drill.

Ratings and reviews

When it works it's great, however it closes by itself very often and makes timing impossible. Not ideal when you're about to do an assessment and suddenly the app isn't responding and you can't test any sprint times. The setting button also doesn't respond (1 in every 10 uses it works). Not uncommon for the timer to work perfectly for several sprints in a row then randomly stop recording stop or finish time (with signal still connected). Clearly an accurate product but app lets it down

I have use this equipment for autocross and moto ghymkana racing and works very good. Have to acept that when using it for autocross, the gates have to bee wider and some of the times if the surface is not super smooth, it gives a hard time for the reciever to work, but at the end I have get it to connect. Wont work on a new samsung with android 12 (A23) y just bought, so had to stick to the old phone. I strongly suggest thay if you are going to get a new phone, be shure to take test first.

Works well! Connection ends up lost if I put my phone in my pocket to warm up before I work on my barrel pattern so I try to wait to see them up until I'm ready and then have to hand my phone off so it stays on while I go through the pattern. Would love to see that fixed as I love the timers!
