Safe Driving Contest App is part of a unique initiative to promote safe driving in Bengaluru. Join us and be part of this citizen initiative that aims to make the city roads safer. Download our Safe Driving Contest App and embark on a journey to become a safer driver.
Our app, measures your driving style and behaviour using sensors in your smartphone. Gain personalized insights and coaching to drive in a safer and eco-friendly manner. By participating, you contribute to designing a better traffic information and management system. Plus, get rewarded for your efforts!
Main objective of App is to help drivers rate their driving behaviour and progressively become safer drivers.
App measures each trip on rash or unsafe driving parameters including Over-speeding, Sudden Braking, Sudden Acceleration, Fast Cornering and Distracted Driving. These parameters are individually rated as well as a consolidated Safe Driving Score is generated. Apart from Driving behaviour, App measures the driving distance and driving time for each trip.
Home screen shows your consolidated Safe Driving Score (out of 100). It also shows summary of your recent trips. Tapping on the Location Icon shows for any trip shows the exact route of the trip, the location and severity of various Driving alerts. App’s "All Trips" screen shows the log of your historical trips organized by each day. Tapping on any particular trip shows the Trip summary for that trip. Driving Score trend screen shows you the weekly trend of your Safe Driving score and its constituent scores.
App uses Driver's Smartphone sensor data (including GPS, Accelerometer and Gyroscope) while driving to analyse the driving behaviour.
App automatically detects when the User has started driving. Please ensure that your phone's GPS is ON while driving. App detects when a drive has ended and analyses collected data within the App to generate the Trip summary, Driving Alerts and Safe Driving scores.
For App to run seamlessly without user’s intervention, Users need to enable certain settings so that App is allowed to run in background. Please see the advised phone settings from the FAQ section inside the App and provide the necessary permissions.
