SpendSense Pro is a private expense tracker and money manager for India. It reads the transaction SMS your bank, UPI apps and card issuers already send, and turns them into a clear, categorised picture of your spending, right on your phone. No bank login, no SpendSense account and no ads.

HOW IT WORKS
• Reads bank, UPI and card transaction SMS automatically after you allow SMS access
• Turns debits and credits into transactions with amount, account, merchant and category
• Sends anything uncertain to Review, so you stay in control of what is saved
• Optional payment-notification tracking for supported UPI, bank, wallet and card apps, for alerts that never arrive by SMS
• Import bank statements to fill in older transactions
• OTPs and promotional messages are recognised as non-transactions and are not added to your spending

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Your transactions are stored in an encrypted database on your phone
• No bank login, no SpendSense account, no ads and no third-party analytics
• Optional backup of your SpendSense data to your own Google Drive, daily, weekly or monthly
• Apart from that backup, the app goes online only for exchange rates, mutual-fund prices, and app updates and on-device model files from Google Play. Those requests do not include your transactions.
• Delete transactions at any time, or remove everything by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it

WHY SMS PERMISSION?
SpendSense Pro reads SMS on your device only to find financial transaction alerts, such as UPI payments, card spends, bank debits and credits, and bill payments. It does not use your messages for advertising or profiling.

Important currency correction: unmarked Indian UPI and bank-transfer messages are recognised as INR. Use the Home button to check the last 7 days of saved SMS transactions; manual edits are preserved. Fixes missed bank debits with charge advisories and account-opening advertisements. Also fixes note carry-over, remembered-name matching and widget refresh/resizing. Please update promptly.
