Great for SOME languages. Others, not so much. Korean? Don't bother. So many of the characters use the same exact audio clip. So if you get the ones providing an audio clip and a list of characters to select, you have to guess. Also, many of them sound absolutely nothing like how it's spelled. The character for "nu" has an audio clip that sounds like "du". There are many other examples. Highly demotivating. Clearly Korean is not a focus here. I will -again- stop using duo for that language.

This app is simultaneously good and terrible. On the plus side it has a lot of variety that keeps it engaging. On the negative side, it's quite buggy, sometimes accepting wrong answers and sometimes rejecting good ones. It's AI powered so no surprise. It also has a lot of features that are so close to being good but fall short, like a word list that doesn't have articles in front of the nouns, and isn't searchable. I've made plenty of feature requests and flagged problems and no one responds.

Edit: Since they switched to ai voices, it can be quite hard to understand some of the spoken words. This is especially noticeable in the Latin course. I do still stand by my previous statement tho. Old review: Fantastic app. Definitely not the only source of study you should do, but great for keeping your skills up and learning new phrases
