This app is a must-have for every audiophile, bypassing all audio limits of Android. Whether you use our custom developed USB audio driver for USB DACs, our HiRes driver for internal audio chips or the standard Android driver, this app is one of the highest quality media players around.

New: route and play audio from other apps! With the optional Feature Pack (in-app purchase), you can now route audio from other apps and play it through the app's high-quality USB audio driver (Android 10+, fixed user-chosen sample rate). This allows playback of apps like Deezer, Apple Music and even Poweramp, all using UAPP’s superior sound engine. Note: This is a complex feature that may not work on every device or with every app: some apps like Spotify may require using a browser like Opera with their web player. The latency is too high for movies.

On many Android 8+ devices, the app can also switch Bluetooth properties of a BT DAC, like the codec (LDAC, aptX, SSC, etc.) and switch the sample rate according to the source (feature dependent on the specific Android device and BT DAC and can possibly fail).

The recording permission is optional: the app will never record audio, but the permission is required if you want to directly start the app when you connect a USB DAC or use the System audio capture feature.

Ratings and reviews

I love this app, being able to play your music in bit perfect audio is great, I have been using it for 3+ years. The reason I rate two stars is because the player does not do a good job shuffling your music, my library isn't small, 738 songs, and you hear the same general songs over and over, the amount of skipping I have to do to get to a song that has not shuffled for me tens of dozens of times is baffling. It also doesn't shuffle your entire library, only 500 songs. Why? Many other apps do!

First, I want to thank the developers for this app. With that said, I am experiencing issues. I am using a 2023 Motorola edge plus, with Android 15, with a Fiio KA11 dongle, with Qobuz. The player will often stop playing a song and will not automatically resume it. I have to unplug my dongle and plug it back in. Sometimes that doesn't work and I have to force stop the app, reopen, unplug, and replug the dongle. I can maybe get two or three songs in before having to do this. Any suggestions?

I would give it a five ... but it has a few bugs . nothing alarming or concerning enough to not want to use the app. the bugs were just (let's say) out of 20 songs , maybe 1 has issues with playing. and it takes a long pause before playing the next track . for the most part, the app does extremely well when using a DAC , especially for apps like quboz. car audio setup here
