I paid for a yearly subscription a couple of days ago. It has been a nightmare since then. I have spent hours and hours going through troubleshooting advice. I keep getting an error message saying "Something went wrong Sorry, we are having trouble communicating with the service. Please close the app and try again." Then follows a long device id. Absolutely nothing I do works to fix the problem. my Prime and YouTube subscriptions work seamlessly - I want a refund!

There is an issue with this app regarding ads. I reported this to HBO and they were unable to solve the issue and refuse to provide a refund. Thankfully I only had the monthly subscription and could cancel. Even if you have the no ad subscription it will play ads for shows and other apps. Annoying and disappointed.

Pay for no ads and still get ads before every episode. Absolutely crazy business policy to literally have a "no ads option" to buy and then still give ads. Glad I only signed up Monthly to see and didn't do the year in one hit like I was thinking about. Cancelled subscription. Plus releasing new episodes weekly like "free to air" channels is also ridiculous.
