• This app uses Accessibility services API to collect data about visited websites and to send alerts when malicious websites are detected.
• Some features require Background location permission to fully function. Giving permission to access background location will allow you to localize your device in case it goes missing.
• This app uses the Device Administrator permission. This permission allows you to remotely wipe your device in case it is lost or stolen (for Android 13 and lower).

Update 9/17/26: same as before...except it doesn't crash my current phone. Good at catching spam texts. ESET mobile works just as great as the PC/laptop version. Doesn't hog memory, alerts to unsafe apps, scans quickly and thoroughly, and doesn't make my Galaxy S-III crash.

I have used ESET for over 25 years. I have NEVER used any other anti-virus software. This is because ESET is the No. 1 choice for anyone tech-minded. Due to its minimal power consumption, footprint and low disk space usage, it doesn't clog up your device. The virus database updates in real-time. If a nasty new virus, worm or trojan appears online, ESET will automatically update to safeguard your device against it. This is quite an important feature.

As a paying member, I believe this is the most ineffective antivirus application available. It doesn't even allow me to log in to restore my account on my mobile device, continuously displaying an error that blames eset and suggests I try again. Don't spend your time on this app, folks; there are undoubtedly superior antivirus options available! UPDATE I followed your advice, and it still was unsuccessful. I have terminated my subscription and opted for Malwarebytes instead!
