My experience so far with the new version is not what I expect from a Microsoft product. It was good the way it was. The updated interface and missing feature like the alternate word list and the pronounciation of those words makes this App look and function like a second rate version of what you offered in the older version.

This app's conversation function was amazing, especially in school settings with so many languages in one classroom. I have a friend that speak Egyptian Arabic and it translated the context very well while it also translated to Russian and Spanish and Dutch at the same time. Unfortunately the conversation function no longer works. It's writes it all in English. I saw many complaints from educators with no response from Microsoft. It's super disappointing it's not supported anymore.

Apparently if you forbid internet access to the app but your Wi-Fi is on, it won't translate with the offline languages because it detects that you have an internet connection and tries to use its servers for the translation. That disappointed me, because the app is great otherwise. It also means that it will use your data when available even if you have downloaded the languages in advance. Edit: the image recognition is unusable.
