Problem: hasn't been able to sync my transactions for 3 weeks despite many reconnections and emails to Help desk (they say they're working on it). It is really easy to manually add transactions, though, and the app's analysis of my finances is helpful and clear. Use it, but don't pay for Premium.

Aesthetically, it's one of the more pleasing budget apps, but that's where the good bits end. It's. Nightmare trying to sync my account and 5-6 times a month, my transactions stop importing. There's no option to import csv files so unless I manually log the transactions, they won't appear. The only workaround has been to disconnect and reconnect my account but then I lose all my categories/data. Tried exporting and importing it back in and it duplicates everything. Truly a terrible experience.

Unfortunately the app doesn't deliver on its promises. There is no proper help desk, ticket management system, feel free to check out their help pages and try to find a way to create a support ticket. Emailing hello@... seems like that's how they deal with anything. CONS: --- there is no "select all" button, anywhere, for batch actions on transactions, you have to click checkboxes one by one - the categorization AI is really "dumb" everything ends up in other not like Mint and similar apps at all --- it's supposed to be possible import transactions but because the import function is so primitive, it's practically unusuable unless for each CSV, you are willing to first modify it on Excel yourself to make spendee understand it --- if you can't connect your bank automatically, then you have to create a "wallet" because you can't create "bank account" messing up the whole flow of incoming vs outgoing money - In their blog post on Medium the product lead says it started as a side project, it seems like it still very much is PROS: +++ it's pretty, has a clean interface +++ works OK if you are lucky enough to have a bank they actually support. I'm emailing hello@... after this review.
