Android version of the desktop file manager Total Commander (www.ghisler.com).

About the new permission "SuperUser":
This permission is now requested to make Total Commander work better on rooted devices. It tells the SuperUser app that Total Commander supports root functions. It has no effect if your device is not rooted. Root functions allow Total Commander to write to system folders like /system or /data. You will be warned before anything is written if the partition is write protected.

Ratings and reviews

If you know programming, you will love it. It has regex selection, bulk regex file renaming, file sharing via wifi (others can upload to your phone as well!), you can send (share) any file to any app, you can share apps etc. This app uses old technology, so it will work on pretty much all old phones. Saying that, it's not very intuitive to use and may be too advanced for some

I like how this app has plugins instead of just dumping all the features into one app. It makes for a much smaller,faster app that takes up less storage. Also, this app allows me to make certain file extensions open in certain apps. For example, I can specify that .py files should open in pydroid3, unlike other file managers that simply don't support that file extension or open it in my text editor. My only complaint is that the jvdroid app is not recognized to open .java files.

Awesome App. I have been using Total Commander for over 20 years on my PCs, as my go to file utility. I am so pleased to find there is Android version. The Android version takes all the pain out of file management on my mobile phone. I agree with the criticisms that the Android app. is not very intuitive. It should include more getting started help. However, once I figured it all out, mundane chores like moving, reorganizing, renaming files, etc. on became a breeze to do. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
