Their latest update makes it impossible to search for a connection of a certain language via their filters. So you just need to wade through thousands of totally random language learners or pay them. I could put up with a lot of paid features over the years but this is the death of the app. No one will be able to initiate conversations anymore.

Amazing opportunity to make friends and exchange languages, but the user interface is confusing, in part because it's constantly trying to get you to sign up for the paid version of the app. The paid version would be very well worth it, but overcrowding the interface with multiple related products (vip, hellowords, etc.) really doesn't help the overall experience.

The app has many features that are great for language learning, such as translation, being able to add corrections to messages, reading text out loud, etc. However, I am very disappointed that the app has put a lot of limits on these features unless you pay for a premium membership. Before, you only needed to pay if you wanted to learn multiple languages at a time but now features are limited. For example, you can only use the translation feature 10* times a day which makes it pretty useless.
