Ratings and reviews

Used to be 5 star software, now it's all ads and premium features you need to pay for. Used to be amazing free software I used for years on phone and PC. I'm not paying yearly to save a few clicks to delete files, when I can take a few extra minutes and do it myself. I may have been convinced to pay 5 or 10 bucks once for 'premium' but I'm not about to pay yearly for something that literally saves 5 minutes. Deleteing cache and temp directories isn't rocket science.

I've used CCleaner as long as I can remember and have always loved it. I recently used it and noticed my pro subscription ran out, which is fine, I'd planned to renew again eventually. It now gives me the option to watch an ad to get the full clean, except every time I try, it tells me the ad can't be loaded, finishes the basic clean, then immediately makes me watch an ad. It's weird how the ads work perfectly as long as it's not benefitting me in any way. I miss old CCleaner.

Used it for years across many devices but just uninstalled. Doesnt actually do anything since last update. It will try to automatically "clean" and just hangs at 90% for hours. The automatic cleaning option is blocked behind a paywall and is turned off, so it shouldn't be doing it in the first place. Feels like you have no control over the app anymore and it's just a platform for ads now.
