Ratings and reviews

The app is very good in learning French vocabulary and helping me memorizing them. However, the English translation of these vocabularies are not always matching what they actually mean in the language, forcing me to go somewhere else for clarification. If it can make those definitions clearer and with more explanations it would be much more helpful.

Pros and cons. The good: I love the "insights" - data analytics that are motivating and interesting. The initial placement test was good. Making your own flashcards and import text to convert into cards is fantastic. Latin American Spanish available. The bad: Few languages and no other dialects. I don't think the price is justified for a flashcard learning system. It's an old method that isn't effective alone and bad for practicing conversation. Some of the English translations are wrong/off.

I'm learning Russian and I'm in a bit of an awkward spot where my vocabulary and speaking ability are ahead of my writing skills. Due to my difficulty spelling, I'm forced to constantly review words I already know. In a month of doing 50 flashcards a day I've learned less than 10 new words. I feel like an optional mode with multiple choice instead of having to to write answers will be a lot more helpful to users like me who would much rather grow their vocabulary than refine their spelling.
