Ratings and reviews

I've been pretty happy with Plex overall over the years (lifetime subscription). I'm very disappointed in the new update/layout of Plex done in 2025. I really dislike that I now have to have an additional two separate apps for photos and music now, so three Plex apps total. No way to add movies to a playlist. Definitely a big step backwards in my opinion.

It's getting worse and worse. App randomly starts playing while not even being open in the background if you don't exit a video completely before closing the app. Also, the new player UX is absolutely horrible (no "next episode" button anymore, the swipe up chapter selector doesn't always go away without closing the player and what the hell is this floating play/pause icon???)

Since the redesign, the app has become really bad. The UX is miserable, it feels like most of the features are missing or too hidden. For example, it is no longer possible (or I can't find it) to continue watching offline where you last left off. The "progress" bar for the videos doesn't work either. Please bring back the old version. I'm going to uninstall Plex now because it's no longer useful to me...
