Ratings and reviews

Trash. Downloading videos from my local plex server often just doesn't work. Or intermittently works and then doesn't... Also, if you finished watching a downloaded video you can't replay from start (because it will resume from where you watched, which is then 100% and then immediately quit). Really disappointing. And these basic functionalities were broken for years now. Don't waste your money on the Plex Pass or subscription

I've been pretty happy with Plex overall over the years (lifetime subscription). I'm very disappointed in the new update/layout of Plex done in 2025. I really dislike that I now have to have an additional two separate apps for photos and music now, so three Plex apps total. No way to add movies to a playlist. Definitely a big step backwards in my opinion.

Connectivity is appalling. Sometimes I cannot connect to my own media server when I'm at home and on the same Wi-Fi network! And when I'm out and about it's even worse. Or even if it does connect, it says I have no media. Or stops playing in the middle of a (music) playlist and THEN tells me I have no library. I was considering buying the Plex Pass but none of this is encouraging me to do so.
