Ratings and reviews

The app is incredibly slow, as loading a page takes around 30 seconds each time, and bugs are plentiful. Functions you would expect, like refreshing the page or only available jobs being shown (half of them are no longer available when you open them), are missing. Uploading an image took 30 minutes as nothing could be uploaded or edited until it just happened to work. Terrible experience: 0/10.

Pathetic service! First, they changed their search filters in a way that I have to read through 10,000 project ads to find something that remotely applies to me. (Note: I am not exaggerating the number. I had a chat with their Support about it and we couldn't come to an agreement.) And then, to add insult to injury, they wrote me a do-not-reply email to tell me my profile will not be displayed to potential clients anymore, because I haven't done much work via Upwork. Right... Good-bye, Upwork!

No chance to make money, automatic taxes on the app are crazy! To apply for a job or hire freelancers you ALSO need to pay. A part of your profit is always charged by upwork, so they don't charge you for the app once, they do it constantly! Plus they don't warn you in the first place. It might have positive sides but I just wasted my time.
