The Google One app lets you automatically back up your phone and manage your Google cloud storage.

Ratings and reviews

I love the additional storage offering, but the "free" AI trial messed up everything. My renewal date is now 2+ months earlier, and my price more than doubled. I'm trying to work this out with support, but I might just have to cancel and do a partial chargeback through my credit card company. I really don't want to pay for the AI addon and I also want to keep my old renewal terms and not lose 2+ months. Oh and let's not forget that they are discontinuing the VPN.

This app is great, but I do have problems and suggestions with it. For example, using the backup feature rarely workz And also on the website version of the app, it's actually impossible to use the backup feature, and it doesn't seem to be a upgrade problem either. Also I would like to be we to search for specific files from a older device, like a power washer device, as it seems to save data from them

Used Google 1 for a while and happy with it. But there is a problem. I trialled the Premium with AI. To be brutally honest, for me, it's just not worth it. So I cancelled it and expected to go back to the standard Google 1 product. Nope. Google will now only give me the option of recommitting to the 2TB Premium with AI around $32 a month, or higher TB plans with more cost. So Google want me to pay AU $400 pa, up from the $124 pa. No downgrade options available. So I will be going elsewhere.
