The new app looks great. However, there is now no shortcut to identify an unrecognised song on the lock screen, as there used to be. I'd rate higher if that functionality could be reintroduced. Also, there should be an API for third party apps to access the Now Playing song history. Several great third party apps don't work anymore because of the shift from a system service to this app.

Only shows now playing on the lock screen. No longer show songs on the home screen when my phone is unlocked. If I want to see a song ID when I'm using my phone, I have to open the app and tap a button. Previously, I got a notification. It was simple and it worked. Now I have to dink around with buttons. Not better, not an upgrade. Bring back the old version. As it stands, this new app is a reason to not pick up my phone.

updated to the most recent version of the app, and prompted by the software to use the new version of the app, I agreed... then all of a sudden, all of your identified music history is gone just like that, with no way to revert to the previous version, and having lost all of your history! No disclaimer either. What a shame!! Very upsetting. tread lightly, to anyone updating to the latest version.
