Ratings and reviews

Squad Busters is a great game for quick breaks. The gameplay is simple, fun, and the characters are nostalgic. However, the RNG factor in chests and the "pay-to-progress" feel with consumables make it frustrating at times. It’s a bit chaotic, and skill doesn't always feel like the deciding factor. It’s a solid 3-star game: fun for casual play, but needs better balance for long-term enjoyment.

Okay, let's start with graphics. It's great! Very colorful, very vibrant. I also like the idea of mashing up characters from different games like Brawl Stars, Clash of Clans, and all that. The gameplay though... It's pretty bad would say. While I like the idea for the gameplay, it's just not that fun. The movement feels weird. It doesn't feel as responsive. The gameplay is repetitive and can get boring quickly. There are also some frame drops here and there, especially in late game.

The game is too quick to go global. I honestly don't know why people rave so much about it even though there's just 1 game mode and 1 objective. There's multiple "arena" with different modifiers to keep it fresh, the characters visual and ability are actually quite good, but it's not worth playing and grinding for a long term, since it's becoming more repetitive and lackluster. I just wish it was clash mini who went global instead of this.
