I've been using the Olio app for a while now, and it's been a great experience! The concept of sharing surplus food with neighbors and local businesses to reduce waste is brilliant. You just take a photo of the food or items you want to give away, and people nearby can request to collect them. It’s super easy to list items, whether it's extra food or household goods, and people nearby can request to collect them.

The badge section is a scam, there's no way for you to find out how far you are from the next badge (3, 6, 12 months of collecting) and if something somehow is breaking the continuity you have no way of finding it. The notifications are also horrible, they usually take you nowhere, just into the app. Watching ads sucks, since half times it doesn't work and I have to watch multiple ads for a single "reward". Basically they want you to pay for the app, stalk all day in the app and do it all alone.

Good purpose but the newest update has broken it for me. Things will disappear and then reappear despite not being requested. it also jumps where I assume an ad is meant to be. if I refresh then certain items go and come back. I do use my Google rewards credits so the £2.99 doesn't actually cost me any real money and it still has problems
