App definitely could be better. Navigation is awkward. If you accidentally go to a place in the book far away from where you were previously you have to manually look for the right place. Dictionary integration doesn't always work. Flickering when starting a new chapter can be confusing. I like the kobo store, it's a great alternative to the Kindle, with competitive prices and good book selection, but the app needs special attention. I guess a good fraction of readers use the app nowadays.

Used to be a great app. Since the last update though, it's very hard to use. The links for footnotes no longer appear to work. When you open a book, it automatically turns the screen brightness up to maximum, which makes it almost impossible to look at because it's so bright. You can't turn the brightness down either because it somehow overrides the phone settings. None of the settings seem to allow you to change any of this and re-installing it didn't do anything.

The search function barely works. Sometimes it is just a matter of luck that we can find the books from a specific author, or the books in the same series, because weird and unrelated entries pop up in the search results... even when we specify the author's full name in quotes or the series name in quotes.
