As a college student who uses PDF textbooks almost exclusively, this app is amazing. I was worried switching from an iPad to an Android tablet that I would have trouble finding a good app to read textbooks on, but this is definitely not the case anymore. It lets you bookmark pages and search for words and phrases, as well as highlight sections and look them up later, separate from the page bookmarks. I haven't used the app to buy or read any regular books yet, but, as a PDF reader, I highly recommend it.

The app itself works well, but DON'T have s problem. After reinstalling the app, I lost all my previously imported books. On trying to contact customer service and failing to get any response! I find I am now locked out of the customer service page?! SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE?!

Got a new phone. No way to transfer books except downloading on to a computer then uploading per Aldiko help desk. Plus Aldiko now does not seem to read pdf documents. Finally, the abundance of ads on the new downloaded app is ridiculous to the point you have to work around them. Got to find a user friendly app since Aldiko has changed so much.

Been away from this app, and reading generally, for a while. Was great now not so... inappropriate ads and not being able to change cover art like I used to do on basic version... will keep going and hope it re-connects with users like it was. Why do good apps go downhill so readily?
I have a ZTE Blade 3 and it will not import any book saying that u do not have a sd card. I dont need to use one. Please fix this bug so that i can import my books from phone storage. Otherwise this app is a killer one

I really liked the previous version but since updating the app today it severely disappoints. The first .pdf I downloaded came up as already on the system and after tracking the file down I opened it to find a blank page. Almost every time I go from page to page an ad pops up. When I searched FAQs there was nothing close to the question I asked (answer was almost random) and I was unable to get a request to Support thanks to Capture not working. If you have an older version do NOT update to version 3.0.38. Can you uninstall an update? Please say you can! If you can't I will be looking for a new book reader.

This is a very good ebook reader. The only thing I have issue about this apps is, I used to be able to change the brightness level. Now, it's stuck to a certain level which is too bright. Please check this problem, or I will migrate to other apps to ease my eyes strain, which I would rather didn't do. Thank you.
I've been using this app as my go to reader for a few years with no problems and loved it. Today I open it to find my entire library cannot be opened. I did manage to dig a couple of files out of obscurity but it's something I shouldn't have to. Uninstalling

I think that this is a great app but it's disappointing to see that my books can't be multi - sync. Every time I get a new device I have to go back and download the books that I haven't read which sucksssssss. Please work on that. This app would be even better if the content could be synchronised.
Frustrating yet potentially great app. It converts Gutenberg books very well indeed, has excellent reading features that even Kindle & Kobo lack (leaves eBook reader in the dust) but, distinct problems persist. 1. No sync across devices (Android). 2. Exceedingly problematic log in - both on app or on website. 3. Support require a formidably long list of questions answered before they'll even look at the issues
Had this app on an older tablet and I loved it! When I recently got my new tablet I put this app on it immediately! Now I'm seriously about to delete the app, I'm CONSTANTLY bombarded with ads to where I can't even read for more then a few minutes!! It's no longer fun to read! What's even worse??!!!! I'm reading next to my child and an add pops up for a dating service showing 2 men having sex!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? HOW inappropriate!! Fix this or I WILL BE DELETING! Rest of features are still great and easy to use.
Used to be a great app to read ebook with but the recent updates make it poor. I don't know if is just me, but everytime I tried to open a book, the app crases and I had to restart my phone. Hopefully this will be fixed soon because I adored this app.

Just a bit issue recently, I'm reading and the app keep turning pages, I wasn't touching the screen at all, not even volume button, I haven't finish that page @@ please can you see what the issue is because that is like my phone got haunted or possessed hahhah OK not fun please fix TT.TT
Good app, but night mode does not work on my Galaxy S8+ or on Galaxy Tab 2S - the screen just turn black. Works good on my LG G3

Before adjust to night mode, please make sure your have checked the box next to "Advanced formatting" in the in the formatting section of the app after you open the book. It would be perfect if you could add a more realistic page turning effect. Also, the page turning is slow to respond on time. Everything else about this app is really user friendly.
Made the mistake of updating the app. Now I can't access my books because I don't have DRM access. Never linked one & never had an issue before the update. Also never had ads before the update. Had 3 in the few minutes I tried to access the book I was reading. Seems like I might need to try to make use of some manufacturer/carrier-forced bloatware for my books now.
The app has been experiencing some glitches, specifically exiting automically after a few seconds of opening an ebook. Aldiko has been a reliable app in the past but current issues makes me think otherwise. Please fix this soon!!
I am a new user. I have noticed several necessary upgrades/desirable features: 1. Please make the page turning more realistic. 2. I would like to be able to create and name my own shelves. 3. I would like to be able to mark a book as read without deleting it. 4. I have several ereaders however it has made itself the default reader, I would prefer to select which ereader I would like to upload my books to. 5. How to remove the default 6. Change the view from shelf to list

Thanks for your suggestions. For 2, the collection feature in the app exactly does that. For 6, the feature of
changing between shelf view and list view is already available in the app. I have been using Aldiko for years now....however last week when i tried opening my books, can"t open them and phone crashes. Tried uninstalling and then installing iy 2 times same thing happened. Thought it might be my books having a problem so deleted all my downloaded books...then donwloades new books. Same thing happened. Hoping someone'll help me fix it...

I used this app on my kindle for a long time and was dismayed to discover that it can no longer open mobi files, not to mention the adds everytime I open the app. It only appears to be supporting epub and adobe acrobat reader files now, So sadly; thumbs down
Was considering buying full app until the latest update. Can no longer read any of my books because it says I don't have DRM rights. Contacted support but they have been no help
Very good and battery friendly app. I was forced to use Adobe product for reading my drm protected book which drained my battery very quickly but with this qpp I can even set black background and adjust brightness ^^ 10/10
By far, hands down the best digital reader app I have used , and I've used a lot. Used to read in universal reader . This one is my daily driver for the past 3 years .
The only problem i have seen with this app is not being able to zoom in on pic or maps given in the book. In epub format.
Aldiko reader is a very good app but it would be better if there was a search option. I have a lot of ebooks and it's hard to keep strolling down
This app is awesome.. I've been using it for last 3-4 years n I just love it.. reading books on this app is superb.. night mode along with brightness adjustment feature is one of the best features of this app..
The apps absolutely great for reading but there isn't a search option for finding books in the library, need to work on that maybe

Hello, to search books, please click on the navigation drawer icon at the top left corner when you are at your bookshelf. After that, you will see the search box, just enter title or keywords to do a search for book. The moment i open this app my music shoots to the max volume. I don't appreciate the unnecessary pain.
Can no longer view my book. App keeps telling me to add DRM account, but whenever I put in my Adobe ID I'm still unable to open the book despite receiving a message saying device authorised.
Just downloaded it, but it kept telling me to add a DRM account. I signed up on Adobe ID and tried to enter, however the app kept telling me " Failed to authorize the device ". I tried many times but it was ways the same answer.
The one problem I have with it is that there is no night mode. I can change background and text colours within the book but the menu is still white.
Can't zoom in beyond a point. Not going to spoil my eyes trying to squint & read non-zoomed text. Please resolve!
Useless, because wants to import books, whereas I only want ONE copy for any readers... Also didn't see SD card folder listed...
Always have used this app bit after the update. I cant open my books and it always crash. This used to be my favorite app when reading ebooks. Hope you can fix this before I uninstall and switch to another ebook reader. Thanks.

I cannot import books that are on my SD card .... and I cannot move the app library to the SD card and this is chocking my limited device internal storage ...... this is a very simple modification to save device ram
Need a version without the bells and whistles I won't use and without the ads for say half the price of full version

We are aware of this issue and is trying to fix it at the moment. We will release an update as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Just updated software of my phone suddenly cannot open this app. Been using this since 2013 not happy.
Please remove "No X selected" page when switching from book view to authors or collections. Waste of code and time.
