Oojao Image Editor is a powerful and free photo editor designed for Android. It supports cool effects, multiple projects/tabs and layers.

This app is ad-supported to keep it free, but ads are not annoying and can be quickly closed or temporarily turned off in Settings. And there are no ads while editing!

You can do all the usual canvas or free layer manipulation such as resize, crop, drawing, erase, draw shapes, bucket fill, select, copy, paste, delete, move, align, rotate, flip and more.

Adjust brightness, contrast and saturation with filters or apply effects such as sharpen, blur, bump, shadow and many more. Undo and redo are available, and you can also save a set of actions and presets to re-apply them later.

Save your work with layers so you can continue editing later.

An essential app. I have it for years, use it almost everyday for both formal use (like document editing) and informal (like memes) and it's great. It's unreal this app is free. Even the ads, their revenew choice, aren't obnoxious and they're easy to deal with. Like they only show when you open the app or start a new project (which means you have hours & hours of ad-free work, they won't interrupt your focus with ads). Only downside I can see pointed is simplicity, but that's a plus for me

it's always been the best image editing app on the Play Store ; (edit)** the bottom toolbar notification flyouts are set with too high of a time value. They interfere with work if you need to use the bottom toolbar, and tbe alpha≠."42" ;🚧🥵

One of the best art apps I've ever used for Android. It's basically the GIMP of Android. I've used it for years, and the features are both intuitive and surprisingly deep. Thanks for making great software in a sea of mediocrity.
