Not entirely accurate. I used the map with sun overlay, to line up the perfect sunrise photo, with a distant lighthouse, the sun came up out the sea, and I had to walk south a few minutes to get the shot I had planned. The times were accurate, but not the direction. Editor response- Nothing to do with my compass because I wasn't using it, I'm using the lines drawn on the map in 2D mode.

Sorry you have had problems with the app. It might be that the compass sensor on your device needs calibrating. You can find instructions on this in the app. If you have any further questions on this you can contact us at support@stonekick.com. Thanks.

I am a student pilot and use this app to plan flights and lessons. The FAA has three, different definitions of "night" and this app allows me to easily see what the times for sunrise, sunset, and the end of civil twighlight will be in the future. It's very simple and quick to get the info I need.
Thanks for your feedback. We're pleased that Sun Position has been helpful.

Works pretty flawlessly. Real time as well as historical and future information makes this a fantastic Android app. I operate a wedding venue and it is a snap to tell clients or photographers exactly where the sun will be at what time on their specific event date.
