I'm a singer, not a guitar player, but I find this app very useful. Without having a piano handy, I can check the accuracy of a pitch or generate a tone with something more versatile than a single key pitch pipe. I sing a capella a lot so I can try a song out in different keys and tell from a sample sung starting note what note I'm singing. I wish the tone generator had an option to just sound once for a short starting note without me having to press both play and stop, but overall I find this app helpful.
Fantastic! It not only tells you if you are sharp or flat, it tells you what note (or chord) you are playing. Tuned a ukulele for the first time in a couple of minutes - after lengthy struggle without this app. Thanks.
Decent looking app. Very slow note tracking. Inaccurate tuning. Custom instrument tunings are a nice touch, but I would like to be able to delete the other instruments. I'm a guitarist. Don't need the banjo presets. Recently switched from iOS. I wonder why iOS has such better music apps. 😩
It's a fully chromatic tuner, so, unlike some tuners, you can tune whatever you want. There are specific tunings available, but, given you know how your instrument is tuned, they shouldn't be necessary. There is a paid version, without ads, but the only feature it has over the free version is the ability to make your own tunings, for strange guitar tunings or less popular instruments, but, again, since it's fully chromatic, you can still tune whatever you'd like to tune with the free version. The tracking is fine overall, with one strange problem: it tends to pickup the 2nd harmonic of sounds when they aren't right next to the tuner. Since the 2nd harmonic corresponds exactly to an octave, it effectively just means that sometimes it says things are an octave higher than they are. You can still tune it like that, if the octave overtone is in tune, so is the root, it's just strange. It might be useful if you're into Mongolian throat singing, but otherwise, it's just a small problem. Moving the instrument closer fixes that.
Does a good job. I tune mostly to tone generators, so that function in this app works well. SUGGESTION: It would be nice if I could open the app to the tone generator page by default. Also, octaves beyond 5 would be useful. Thank you for a good app, and considering that I use it at work for my pre-show warmup, I'm happy to pay for this app.
Tuned up an electric 12 string. Had a bit of trouble as theres no setting for one.
- Create your own custom tunings for stringed instruments (PRO users only).
- Fix for sharp/flat indicator colour for the dark theme on Samsung and other affected devices.
- Updated tunings: new 5/6 string bass tunings, updated double bass and ukele tunings.
- New string tuning mode
- Display current octave
- Added Indian Classical note names (Sa, Re, Ga, etc)
