Useless. App can't find the Bluetooth device when standing 6 inches away. The manual clearly states that a phone won't be able to successfully pair with a "BLE" device (screen/remote icon), that you must first use the app to configure an audio type Bluetooth connection...but you can't do that when the iRV app can't find their own hardware!

So, let's start with: Download this app>run app scan (while the scan is running)> using your phone Bluetooth scan here (you should then see the connection) iRV36 (in my case)> connect to it. close out the app and you are now connected. That is how I was able to connect via BT. it does work, but making the connection is horrible in my opinion, once connected it works fine.

App is terrible and seems to have no functuonality at all. BUT bluetooth connection is possible. As others have said IV36 appears twice in your phone's bluetooth list. Pick both of them, one should connect. The BT on the unit should change from red to blue. Then you can at least stream music. I just change zones etc on the hardware not the app.
