App scheduling consistently skips scheduled changes. The scheduling is the only reason to use the app. The energy usage tracking seems to be, at best, a guess and the energy score thing is a complete mystery. Energy score rates 3kwh/day as a 7 (out of what, I'm not sure but it's a a scary red color so I assume that's supposed to be bad). A comparable electric resistive model would easily use 4 times that for similar results, so I'm not sure what we're scoring here.

Pretty bare bones app providing information on the health of the unit and energy consumption. What is bad: 1) I have had the unit beep and send me emails and texts with specific error codes and direction to contact Rheem support. But you would never know it from the app which happily declares all is good. 2) incomplete controls of disabling energy saving features during peak usage. Had to go to unit. What is missing: I would like to see more granular data viewing and export capabilities.

app is convenient and does what its supposed to for the most part. My issues are the lag between the device and app, no excuse for not up to the minute settings and device information. if I input a command its instant, but it shouldn't take 5 + minutes for my app to update from a scheduled change on system temperature. secondly the savings comparison only goes week to week on your usage. I think it would be great for users to know how much they're saving compared to resistive water heating.
